Text: Developmental Biology, Scott Gilbert
Time and place: Room 351 Eberhart, Mon/Wed/Fri 10-10:50
Labor

Course objectives: The idea of this course is to introduce the student to the following concepts:

1.) Molecular basis of developmental processes such as tissue interactions and organogenesis
2.) Genetic, cellular and, environmental factors involved in development.
3.) The experimental principles used to determine the molecular and genetic basis of development.

Grading: There will be four exams (1 lab exam, 3 in class exams) that are worth 50% of the final grade, 3 presentations that will be worth 25%, and class participation will be worth 25%.

Materials: for the lab you will need a spiral notebook and paper
