Course
Objectives:
After completing this course the student should:
1.) Understand the relationship between genotype and phenotype.
2.) Apply common genetic and molecular techniques to understand diagnosis
and screening.
3.) Appreciate the role model systems play in the understanding of the
molecular nature of human genetic disease.
4.) Learn how disease genes are mapped and cloned.

Exam (3) 45%
Final exam 25%
All students are required
to lead a class discussion for credit.
