“Curricular Items” below refer to new or amended course proposals, new or revised programs (majors, concentrations, minors), and routine course changes.
December 5, 2011 should be your latest target date to get curricular items to 105 Foust (mrcaddel@uncg.edu). Depending on C&T's Spring 2012 meeting schedule, there may be a brief period of time after this deadline in which the College C&T Committee can still receive and approve items in time for your department to meet the UCC/GSC deadline, however, due to the large volume of material that C&T receives in December and January, do not depend on successfully having items passed after the December 5 deadline.
Contact the Gen Ed Council to determine the deadline for materials to be submitted to the Gen Ed Council.
After gaining approval from the College C&T Committee, all items will need to go through the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee (UCC) and/or Graduate Studies Committee (GSC) for review and approval. Items pertaining to the teacher education program will need to go through the Teachers' Academy Committee before going to C&T, UCC and/or GSC.
March 30, 2012is the deadline for submitting to the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee (UCC) all curricular items that are proposed to be effective in the 2012-2013 academic year. February 2, 2012is the deadline for submitting all curricular items that are proposed to be effective in the 2012-2013 academic year to the Graduate Studies Committee (GSC). Items not submitted by these dates will not appear in the 2012-2013 Paper Bulletin.
