Naurice Frank Woods, Jr. earned his M.F.A. (1978) from the University of North Carolina and a Ph.D. in Art History at the Union Institute Graduate School in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a prolific writer of essays for professional journal publications, has delivered many lectures, and has participated in numerous art exhibitions.
Dr. Woods published a book entitled, Lose Not Courage Lose Not Faith, Go Forward, which examines African American culture and experience in the twentieth century. Dr. Woods is the former program directorr.
