Bruce Holland

Bruce Holland recently joined the African American Studies program of UNCG as an Administrative Assistant. He comes to us from a long and distinguished career in the United States Air Force. After graduating from William Penn Senior High School in York, PA in 1982, he joined the Air Force and recently retired from active duty after serving for 26 years as a Human Resource Manager. After his first assignment at Laughlin Air Force Base, he departed the United States in 1984 and served the remaining years of his career in Europe. Bruce has lived in four different European countries, most recently London, United Kingdom. Some of his most notable positions include Human Resource and Manpower Manager of the United States National Military Representative’s Office in Mons and Chief of Human Resources/Executive Administration at the United States Military Delegation in Brussels, Belgium. In both positions, he worked closely with US Allies in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. He has served through three military combat operations and was deployed during the Bosnia campaigned in 1996. Bruce has an associate's degree in Personnel Resource Management from the Community College of the Air Force. He has studied Human Resource Management at the University of Maryland and plans to continue his pursuit of a BA degree. He is married with two daughters and enjoys playing basketball and officiating college and high school games. Email Bruce

Alana Haskins is a work study student for AFS. She is a Psychology major and an African American Studies minor. Alana enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching old movies, and traveling; she has been to Romania, Slovenia, and Croatia and hoping to visit other contries.

Natasha Beavers is the work study student for AFS. She has an associate's degree in Science and recently worked as a legal assistant for a firm here in Greensboro. Natasha is originally from Connecticut and currently pursuing a major in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. She enjoys watching movies and spending time with her family and friends.

Tabitha Peters is a work study student for AFS. She is currently a middle grades education major with concentrations in Language Arts and Social Studies. Her hobbies include color guard and singing, and she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
