Why should I purchase a UNCG license plate?
It’s a great way to help support UNCG alumni and student programs, because $15 of the registration fee is returned to UNCG. In addition, the license plates are a great way for you to show your proud support for the University of North Carolina at Greensboro!
Do I have to be an alumnus of UNCG to get the license plate?
No. Anyone in the state of North Carolina may register their vehicle with the plates.
How much does the university license plate cost?
The plates cost $25 a year in addition to the standard license. Personalized plates are $55.
Does the plate carry a required prefix?
Yes, G.
If I don't get personalized plates, what will the plate look like?
A non-personalized UNCG plate will be identical in appearance to a personalized UNCG plate. Non-personalized UNCG plates are numbered sequentially.
How many characters can I have on personalized university plates?
You may have from 1-4 characters, numbers or capital letters only, in addition to the G prefix.
