Delta Chapter of Lambda Alpha

Lambda Alpha is the national honors organization for Anthropology. The name Lambda Alpha is composed of the initial letters of the Greek works LOGOS ANTHROPOU, meaning "The Study of Man." Lambda Alpha was founded in 1968 at Wichita State University and currently, the National office is located in Ball State University. UNCG's chapter, the Delta Chapter, has been active since 1994.

The purpose of this society is to encourage and stimulate scholarship and research in Anthropology by recognizing and honoring superior achivement in the discipline among students, faculty, and other persons engaged in the study of Anthropology. A minimum GPA of 3.5 is a requirement of students as well as their scholarship and research in Anthropology.
