Recipe for Success teaches adult curriculums which focus on healthy diet and exercise. Jennifer Hill, MA, is the Adult Curriculum Coordinator and Health Researcher for the adult classes. Her lessons cover a wide range of health topics, including:
· Food and Mood: relationship between what you eat and how you feel. · Anti oxidants: Their many healthy benefits · Dinner-On-A-Dime Recipes: How to eat smart without spending too much money
Jennifer Hill and our Adult Nutrition Educators teach small, hands-on classes that are catered to the personal needs of participants. Participants and Educators co-create lesson ideas so that SNAP-Ed can be sure to address health and exercise issues that are important in the lives of the people with whom we work. Lessons are often supplemented with pertinent health documents and items such as recipe books , aprons, and meat thermometers are distributed to facilitate a lifestyle of positive nutrition habits.
