Hello Class,

Welcome to Art 363.   This class is speaking intensive, and you will have many occasions [formal and informal] to practice and demonstrate your speaking and presentation skills.  Teachers "show and tell" their students many things and must do so effectively if students are to understand.  We will work on strategies to strengthen presentations.

To begin, gather your books and supplies.  You will need at least two 3-ring binders, dividers, page protectors, computer printer paper, pens and pencils.  You will need to also gather some of your school art supplies.  Check the list and check to see what you already may have at home.  Put these art supplies in a portable container and bring them to class with you when we begin the media experiences.

Check out the class website and print for your notebook.  Move the important dates on the class calendar to your daily planner.

This is an exciting year ahead as you complete your professional preparations to become licensed as a K-12 Art Teacher.  North Carolina needs good teachers and you will be ready to join the ranks of teachers after this school year.  Be ready to work hard and to work everyday!
