Beginning fall semester 2005, students are to organize their Art Education
Teaching Portfolio on Taskstream(www.taskstream.com),
a web-based portfolio management system which requires a fee for access.
Students are urged to enroll for the whole of their senior year so as to
have adequate time to develop their portfolio. The final assessment of
the AETP will occur April 15-May 5, and work is to be completed by 5 p.m.
on April 15, 2006.
This Directed Response Folio (DRF) [Art Education Teaching Portfolio]
is an exit document that showcases artifacts of achievement and engagement
for the Art Education Program at UNCG. Candidates choose among numerous
artifacts from the various courses and field experiences required in the
B. F. A. in Art Education. Candidate reflections comment on how the samples
included demonstrate knowledge, dispositions, and performance to the
INTASC and ISTE-NETS
standards for K-12 licensure. Class time in Art 365 and Art 465 will
be devoted to helping students work with Taskstream, with writing standards
reflections, and with selecting appropriate artifacts for their portfolios.
Student should consider creating a paper version of the AETP or CD
version from their DRF Taskstream.
Below are some of the artifacts (photos, documents, reflections,
etc.) that students should collect and hold extra copies of in preparation
for doing their AETP (DRF). Students can and are urged
to create in Taskstream a resource
folio and upload these artifacts in preparation to doing the AETP (DRF).
