Christopher Thomas is an artist whose work often takes the form of books or paintings done in series. He is interested in the way images, when accumulated and pieced together like props, suggest narrative.
A fan of musicians like Matmos and Black Dice, he agrees that sampling is the collage medium of our time and seeks a visual parallel where banal, public domain can be collected, translated and elevated into personally significant, resonant art.
