Student Art League

Student Art League events and opportunities will be posted here throughout the year. If you are interested in joining the SAL, please contact Professors Heather Holian or Barbara Campbell.

The Student Art League is a student organization of UNCG designed to keep art students informed of events in the UNCG and Triad communities, as well as provide a link between UNCG art and the Greater Greensboro Area.

5@5
This regularly recurring event gives students rare insight into the minds of UNCG faculty and staff. For each event, the SAL members select two professors or museum professionals. The chosen two give a half-hour lecture on their five favorite pieces, followed by time for mingling and refreshments! Don't miss this opportunity to get to know the art faculty in ways that a traditional classroom setting will never let you!

Membership & Dues
New and returning members must pay their dues in order to be affiliated with the Student Art League. Fall dues are $10, while returning students' spring dues are only $5. You may turn your dues in at SAL events, or e-mail uncgstudentartleague@gmail.com and arrange a time to drop them off with a faculty advisor.

Fall 2009 Events

The Student Art League, UNCG's only official, university-affiliated student art organization, is having its first General Meeting of the new school year, Thursday, September 3, at 4:30 in Gatewood 201. Please join us! We will outline our many events for the fall, take dues for membership ($5 per semester), collect email addresses for our listserve and gather ideas for future events. Bring a friend and spread the word. In our large department, the SAL is a great way to get involved and meet other people also interested in art.
