Graduate Assistantships/Scholarships

Bryan Fellowship

The Joseph M. Bryan School of Business and Economics seeks to attract graduate students of exceptional academic ability and talent through the Bryan Fellowship Awards Program. These fellowships are funded by the Kathleen Price and Joseph M. Bryan Endowment Fund for the school. Recipients of these fellowships are recognized as Bryan Fellows and receive fellowship awards valued at a minimum of $2,000 and include a graduate assistantship appointment valued at a minimum of $6,000. The awards are for a nine-month period (Fall and Spring semesters).

These fellowships are renewable, provided the recipient maintains educational program performance standards expected of Bryan Fellows.

The selection of Bryan Fellows is based upon demonstrated academic excellence and potential for success in business and economics careers. Applications are accepted on a continuous basis, but priority deadlines for fall semester are March 15th.

• Submit the Bryan Fellowship application with all required supporting documents.
• The applicant must be unconditionally admitted to a graduate program within the Bryan School of Business and Economics.

Graduate Assistantships

Bryan School also offers a limited number of graduate assistantships to full-time students. Applicants for assistantships must have been unconditionally admitted into the MS in Accounting degree program. Assistants are usually employed to assist faculty members for as many as 20 hours per week.

Stipends for graduate assistantships typically range from $6,000 to $7,500 for the nine-month academic year. Applications can be requested from the Graduate Program office. In a few cases, the out-of-state tuition differential for the fall and spring semesters may be waived for applicants appointed to an assistantship.
