The Joseph M. Bryan School of Business and Economics seeks to attract graduate students of exceptional academic ability and talent through the Bryan Fellowship Awards Program. These fellowships are funded by the Kathleen Price and Joseph M. Bryan Endowment Fund for the school. Recipients of these fellowships are recognized as Bryan Fellows and receive fellowship awards valued at $4,500 for the nine-month academic year. In addition, recipients normally are awarded Research Assistantships valued at $1,500 for the academic year. These fellowships are renewable, provided the recipient maintains educational program performance standards expected of Bryan Fellows.
The selection of Bryan Fellows is based upon demonstrated academic excellence and potential for success in business and economics careers. In addition to the annual financial awards (with out-of-state tuition waiver where applicable), Bryan Fellows are afforded the opportunity to participate in a research program with a faculty mentor. This program is designed to complement their academic program experiences and enhance their promise for career success. To be considered, applicants must complete the following steps by no later than March 15:
• Submit the Bryan Fellowship application with all required supporting documents.
• The applicant must be unconditionally admitted to a graduate program within the Bryan School of Business and Economics.

Bryan School also offers a limited number of graduate assistantships to full-time students. Applicants for assistantships must have been unconditionally admitted into the MS in Accounting degree program. Assistants are usually employed to assist faculty members for as many as 20 hours per week.
Stipends for graduate assistantships are between $4,500 and $5,000 for the nine-month academic year. Applications can be requested from the Graduate Program office. In a few cases, the out-of-state tuition differential for the fall and spring semesters may be waived for applicants appointed to an assistantship.
