Twenty years ago, Martin Green (’84, Bryan School) and his wife Lou (‘79, College of Arts and Sciences), founded brij Image and Information, Inc. Since 1986, brij has expanded to 35 employees, several of whom are Bryan School alumni. Its customer base extends across a 16-state radius from Texas to Delaware.
The unique approach for brij is that it combines business process solutions formulated to help customers connect their back end suppliers and operations to their front end sales and marketing with seamless, highly automated, business software. These solutions include a whole suite of integrated and modular enterprise business applications from Oracle and IFS, online service-based solutions, e-commerce, web development, customer relationship management, as well as branding and marketing collateral.
The Greens have always been strong believers in the value of education and have been quite active in promoting education in Guilford County. Over the years, they have been ardent supporters of the internship program at the Bryan School and the local school system by serving as PTA presidents and working on various school committees. Currently, Martin serves on the board of the Guilford Education Alliance.
Their most notable accomplishment was the formation of Dustin’s GreenHouse (www.dustinsgreenhouse.org), a fund created in conjunction with the High Point Community Foundation. Dustin’s GreenHouse was established to honor the memory of the Green’s 19-year-old son, Dustin. The fund cultivates opportunity and invests in the long-term growth of Guilford County students through travel, technology, and academic programs.
Both Martin and Lou believe that their foundation for life, their ability to start and grow a company, and their strong support of education have their roots at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
