Critiques of Free-Market Capitalism
Critics of free market ideals rarely question the basic premise of Adam Smith’s invisible hand: competitive markets tend to allocate resources efficiently, producing quality goods and services at low prices. Instead, most critics of capitalism (and advocates of market regulation) focus on at least one of three things: economic instability, market failures and social justice.
