CAREER FAIRS
A career fair can be an excellent place for a freshman to explore career options and interact with professionals. For a sophomore or a junior, a career fair can be a place to begin identifying possible internship sites. For a senior, a career fair can be an excellent place to network and search for his/her first job after college. In all cases, career fairs provide excellent opportunities for students to practice their networking skills and give them the opportunity to learn about various companies and career fields.

On-Campus Recruiting
The On-Campus Recruiting Program is offered during the fall and spring semesters. This program gives recruiters the opportunity to come to campus to interview candidates for full-time job opportunities. On occasion, internship opportunities are available through the on-campus interview program. All interviews are conducted in the Career Services Center (CSC), #1 Elliott University Center.
A campus interview is usually a half-hour long and serves as a screening interview for a possible invitation to a second interview. To be eligible to participate in on-campus recruiting, UNCG graduating students and alumni (out 6 months or less) must have an ACTIVE account with SpartanCareers. Students should see a Career Counselor if they have questions about setting up a SpartanCareers account, activating their account, or on-campus recruiting.

Practice Interviews
Students interested in scheduling appointments for practice interviews with career counselors should plan for a one hour appointment. The practice interview is the only thing that will take place during that appointment time. Students should submit a copy of their resume to the career counselor conducting the practice interview at least 24 hours prior to the mock interview.
