Academic advising is considered essential for success when pursuing a major in the CARS department. All students pursuing a degree in the Department of Consumer, Apparel, and Retail Studies are assigned a faculty advisor. Faculty advisors post office hours of when they are available to see students. As a student in CARS, you are expected to:
- contact your advisor and schedule an appointment.
- meet with your faculty advisor at least once each semester to discuss progress towards the degree and course selection for the next semester.
- take responsibility for completing your degree by knowing the requirements for obtaining a degree in your major.
- Maintain an up-to-date plan of study
Additional information concerning academic advising may be found at Enrollment Services for Students.
