Dixon Hughes PLLC has teamed with UNCG's Bryan School of Business and Economics to provide financial resources in support of the monthly Triad Business Index. In recognition of the sponsorship, the index will now be known as the Dixon Hughes Triad Business Index.
The index is produced by the Bryan School's Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER).
"We are extremely pleased to work with Dixon Hughes. The sponsorship enables us to expand CBER's activities and thereby improve our service to the Triad community," said Dr. Jim Weeks, dean of the Bryan School.
For more than 25 years, the index has provided insight on the local economy, enabling business leaders to develop strategic plans based on data specific to the Triad. It incorporates region-specific data on such indicators as employment, retail sales and real estate. The result is a single number - an index - that summarizes the level of economic activity throughout the region.
"Dixon Hughes is committed to serving the Triad region and supporting the business community," said Randy Brodd, co-managing member of the Dixon Hughes Triad region. "It is a natural fit to team with UNCG. We are honored to help facilitate the legacy of the Triad Business Index."
The Dixon Hughes Triad Business Index provides the most up-to-date snapshot of the economy of the Triad region of North Carolina. The DHTBI is produced by Dr. Donald Jud, professor emeritus at UNCG and a research fellow in the Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER).
With a staff of over 1,200 people located in eight states, Dixon Hughes ranks among the nation's top 20 CPA firms and provides a wide array of tax and consulting services to clients of all sizes.
CBER performs high-quality applied research in economic policy and business practice, drawing on the expertise of the faculty of the Bryan School of Business and Economics. CBER's goal is to serve the Triad community and assist in the economic development of the region.
