MA Job Placement

The Master of Arts in Applied Economics program prepares students to work as professional economists in industry, financial services, government, and academia.

The Department of Economics provides graduate students with job search and career placement assistance. Most of our MA graduates find excellent positions within three months of graduating. Beginning salaries for our most recent class of graduates -- those who received their degrees in December 2010 -- ranged from $55,000 to $79,000.

We have a strong network of alumni who stay in touch with the department, alert us to job opportunities within their organizations, and return to campus for workshops to speak with current and prospective students.
