The list below includes Bryan Career Services & Internship Programs events, University Career Services events, and other on/off campus events that may be beneficial to Bryan graduate students.  Other events will be added to the calendar throughout the fall semester.  You will also receive notification of upcoming events via your UNCG email and the UNCG Bryan Graduate Career Services & Internship Programs page on Facebook.  Be sure to “Like” us on Facebook so that you will receive our announcements.  All events below are subject to change.

Epes Logistics Services Company Spotlight Session*

  • Meet representatives from Epes Logistics, and learn about their mission, culture, values, and opportunities with the company.   • If you attend, it's best to arrive by 5:00pm, if not earlier, if possible. If you would like to attend the fair but have class during that time, check with your professor to see if you can leave class early that day (or arrive late).

PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION EVENTS
Bryan graduate students are encouraged to take advantage of professional association events that offer networking opportunities, career fairs, and professional growth and development in their career field(s) of interest.  By attending their events, you will enhance your knowledge of certain fields, learn about companies who hire professionals to work in those fields, and network and build relationships with people who work in the fields you are interested in.

Visit a professional association’s web site for more information about student membership, events, registration, etc.  In addition to national/international professional associations, many professional associations have local and/or regional chapters.  Consider attending some events in the Triad, Triangle, or Charlotte area.  Some professional associations you may want to check out are:

American Marketing Association: www.marketingpower.com

  • Professional NC Chapters are located in Charlotte and Raleigh.

Public Relations Society of America: www.prsa.org

  • Professional NC Chapters are located in Greensboro, Charlotte, and Raleigh/Durham.

Society for Human Resource Management: www.shrm.org

  • Professional NC Chapters are located in Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Charlotte, Raleigh, Durham, and other NC cities.

APICS – The Association for Operations Management: www.apics.org

  • Professional NC Chapters are located in Greensboro, Charlotte, Cary (Triangle chapter), and other NC cities.
  • The Piedmont Triad Chapter of APICS is very active, and students are welcome to attend their monthly meetings.  This is a professional association for people who work in or are interested in operations management, supply chain management, logistics, and/or transportation.  Online registration is required for most events.  To learn more about Triad APICS and to register for events, go to: www.triadapics.org.  Below is a list of Triad APICS scheduled monthly meetings (subject to change).  All meetings are held on Tuesdays at the Volvo Corp.
