It has become more difficult for international students to find jobs in the United States after graduation since the government set a cap on the number of H-1B visas. Due to the complicated visa application procedures, many companies and organizations tend to be unable or unwilling to sponsor students for the H-1B work visa. In spite of the discouraging facts, it is certainly possible to find an ideal job or internship in the United States, because international students have their unique skills, such as language skills and technical skills, that an employer may not be able to find in a U.S. citizen or lawful resident.
The following web sites contain information regarding employment or internships for international students planning to work in the United States or desiring to gain work experience in the United States before returning to their home countries. Please note that some of these sites may be fee based. If you know of other resources that can be added to this list, please send them to bryangcs@uncg.edu.
