What did you find most valuable about your internship experience?
In working with Bryan Graduate Career Services, I really enjoyed doing the personality assessments as it helped me discover the career choices that I enjoy the most.
To get my internship, I attended all the employer events and career fairs that Career Services put together. Brent and Darlene were a great resource for me.
In my internship, I learned that I could use my creativity to provide solutions to everyday problems that the company faced. The internship helped a great deal since I was offered a full time position at completion of my internship.
What career related tips or advice would you give to other graduate students or prospective students?
Be confident during an interview.
Also, develop your Microsft Office skills to the max. Purchase an Office instructional CD at any office store. Your Excel and Access skills will make a big difference in the workplace. When someone has a question they usually ask me how to solve the problem.
