In what ways has Bryan Graduate Career Services been most helpful to you during your time in the graduate program?

Bryan Graduate Career Services has been immensely helpful in providing opportunities for networking, resume building, and interview practice. With their help I was fully prepared for applying for internship positions and interviewing as well. I had not been on an interview where I didn't get an offer!

I have had two internships. The internship with BMW I found on my own, and the one with B/E Aerospace was set up by Darlene Broadhurst in the Bryan Graduate Career Services. Having the internships not only gave me credit towards graduation, but also offered the opportunity to work in multi-national organizations where there were real business challenges. The internships have also been a great resume builder as each of them was with very good companies.

Darlene Broadhurst is the most valuable asset in Bryan Graduate Career Services! She has helped me in every way possible since beginning the program back in August of 2007. We've met personally in her office, spoken on the phone, spoken to each other in passing, e-mailed one another, etc. She's very accessible and really cares about helping students achieve their career goals.

What career related tips or advice would you give to other graduate students or prospective students?

Always stay in touch with Bryan Graduate Career Services! If they know you personally they will think of you when opportunities that interest you come up. Bryan Graduate Career Services is a very personal office in that they do not just throw every opportunity out for anyone. They match opportunities with students based on their interests and aspirations. If Brian Graduate Career Services doesn't know what those things are, then how can they be of any help to you?
