International Student Admissions

International students will be considered for admission based on the normal standards of admission to the MSITM Program. When it is judged that the international applicant may be qualified for admission except for an English language deficiency, the student may be given Admission with Conditions. An English language deficiency is reflected in a TOEFL score below 550 and/or a verbal score on the GMAT below the thirtieth percentile. MSITM Program Admission with Conditions prescribes the following circumstances:

  1. The Graduate School certifies the completion of a baccalaureate degree with a grade point average appropriate for admission to the Graduate School.
  2. The applicant presents a GMAT score of greater than or equal to 475.
  3. The applicant completes the other normal admission requirements of the MSITM Program.
  4. Prior to enrolling in MSITM course work, the student will complete the sixth level of the Interlink Program and be certified by the Director of the Interlink Program at UNCG to have sufficient command of English to enter graduate courses.
  5. Following certification of proficiency in English, the student must complete at least 12 hours of courses approved by the Director of the MSITM Program. These courses will normally be selected to satisfy Foundation Level courses in the MSITM Program. The grade point average earned in these courses must be at least a 3.0, with not more than three hours of C grades, and no grade below C. Alternatively, the student may present a new GMAT score greater than or equal to 550.
  6. After successful completion of the approved courses (or presentation of the appropriate GMAT score), the student will be granted unconditional admission to the MSITM Program.
