Ph.D Degree Requirements

Application Period:

  • January 1 to February 15 for Fall admissions.

General Admission Requirements

  • GMAT
  • TOEFL for non-natives (at least 600 on written, 250 on CBT)
  • TSE for non-natives

Documents to be Submitted for Admission

  • Completed Graduate School Application
  • Undergraduate Transcripts
  • Master’s Transcript
  • Test Scores
  • Statement of Purpose (1-2 pages long) should include your background, goals, research, reasons for applying to UNCG.
  • Three Letters of Recommendation

Degree Requirements

  • Total Hours Required: 73 - 85 hours
  • Major : 25 hours
  • Supporting Area: 9 hours
  • Research Methodology: 12 hours
  • Teaching Education: 4 - 7 hours
  • Research Seminars: 5 - 8 hours
  • Dissertation: 18 hours
