Tammy Friedeck Video Transcript – Spring Semester 2008
My name is Tammy Friedeck and I am a 2nd year Bryan Day MBA 
student graduating in May. I came to the Bryan School from 
Steven F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX and my 
undergraduate degree was in radio, television and public 
relations. I chose the Bryan Program because I had little 
work experience and no business background so this was kind 
of a program that was created just for me. I had never been 
to North Carolina before I came to school here and I heard 
it was really great so I’m really enjoying it so far. Some 
of the things that the Bryan Program has offered me that I 
don’t think I could have gotten anywhere else is the 
opportunity to meet great people here and make good business 
connections through speakers and programs that the MBA 
Office and the Career Services Office have put together. 
I’ve also kind of gotten a chance to gain some work experience 
by putting my classroom knowledge to work in a capstone 
project where I’m helping a local business put together a 
business plan and one of my greatest experiences so far was 
going to Paris over Fall Break. I got to spend a week 
studying international business and just exploring a new 
country which was something that I never thought I’d get 
a chance to do. The Bryan Program really has helped me not 
only develop my skills set in business but also gain that 
work experience that I was lacking through practical 
application projects and internships and I think in the 
end it has helped create more marketability for me and 
made me a more well rounded person. I love North Carolina 
still for as long as I’ve been here and I’ve accepted a 
position after graduation in May so I’ll be sticking 
around for a while.
