GMAT Information

The GMAT is a standardized assessment test that helps business schools assess the qualifications of applicants. Bryan Graduate Programs use this test as one of the measures of a person's readiness to begin study in one of our graduate programs.


The GMAT is computer-adaptive and is available year-round at test centers across the world. The exam tests analytical writing, verbal, and quantitative skills.


To speed the process of your application to a Bryan Graduate Program, be sure to select "University of North Carolina - Greensboro - Joseph M. Bryan School of Business and Economics" at the appropriate section of the exam, and your GMAT score will automatically be sent to the Bryan School.


The testing centers for the GMAT exam in North Carolina are:

Durham Raleigh Pope AFB
Winston-Salem Greenville Charlotte
Wilmington Cherry Point Boone

Helpful Hints:

  • It is suggested that you prepare for the GMAT exam well in advance of taking it.
  • You can download free study software from www.mba.com.
  • Review and study one at a time and practice taking the entire test several times.

GMAT Prep Course

The Bryan School of Business will offer applicants the opportunity to participate in a free GMAT Prep Course during the spring 2013 semester. These courses will occur from 6:30-9:30pm in the Bryan Building on the following dates:

 

April/May GMAT Course
Tuesdays (4/23, 4/30, 5/7, 5/14 and 5/21)

 

May/June GMAT Course
Mondays (5/13, 5/20, 6/3, 6/10 and 6/17)

*No class on Monday, May 27

 

The course covers the Quantitative section for three days and the Verbal section for two days. It also includes preparation for the Integrated Reasoning section of the new GMAT.


All applicants for a Bryan Graduate Program that have submitted an application for a 2013 term, including the Bryan Prelude Program, are eligible for this course.
