Accelerated MBA with Guilford College

In collaboration with Guilford College, the Bryan School of Business and Economics at UNCG offers Guilford students a fast track to an MBA degree. Prior to receiving their bachelor’s from Guilford College and enrolling in the Evening MBA program at UNCG, students can take the necessary courses to waive 12 credit hours of basic level MBA coursework and can complete an additional 6 credit hours of MBA courses.

By taking the following undergraduate courses, students can waive the corresponding courses (12 credit hours) from the basic level of the MBA curriculum:

Undergraduate Courses (Guilford College) Basic Level MBA Courses (UNCG)
MATH 112: Statistics MBA 600: Business Statistics
ACCT 201: Introduction to Accounting MBA 602: Financial Accounting

Professors from the Bryan School teach evening courses at Guilford College and other sites for seniors pursuing the accelerated MBA. These MBA courses are 3 credit hours and are offered during the fall and spring semesters. For both the graduate-level and undergraduate-level coursework, students must receive a grade of B or better for the credit to apply toward the MBA degree.

Prior to earning their undergraduate degrees at Guilford College, students who have completed the equivalent, basic level courses and the 6 credit hours of MBA courses during their senior year will have reduced the length of the MBA program from 48 credit hours to 30 credit hours and could complete the remaining coursework for the Bryan MBA in as little as fifteen months.

Admissions

To be eligible to begin taking MBA-level courses during their senior year, students must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average. Enrollment in the accelerated MBA track does not guarantee admission to the evening MBA program and students still need to apply to The Graduate School at UNCG and meet the admission requirements before they can be admitted to the evening program and continue taking MBA courses at UNCG. Students in the accelerated track may apply for any semester and the application deadlines are:

July 1 for the Fall Semester
November 1 for the Spring Semester
