Getting Around GreensboroAs a new student in the Bryan MBA program you may have a great deal of questions about your new home here in Greensboro. We believe you will find Greensboro to be a beautiful city and there is an abundance of convenient ways to travel around town. Bus ServicePART - For travel around the local area, we recommend the PART system. The Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation is a comprehensive guide to our excellent public transportation system. Buses run throughout all areas of Greensboro and even to the nearby cities of High Point and Winston Salem. Spartan Chariot - The Spartan Chariot, a service of UNCG, is a free weekday express service with stops at locations on and around the campus. It travels between academic buildings, nearby parking lots, and other UNCG facilities. HEAT - For travel near campus, or to another local school such as North Carolina A&T University, the Higher Education Area Transport (HEAT) system is available. HEAT serves the populations of all of Greensboro's colleges and universities by providing safe and reliable access to all every campus, as well as to local shopping areas. ZipcarsA Zipcar is like a rental car that is available at the push of a button. For $35 dollars a year, UNCG students and faculty can enjoy access to any of the four Zipcars located on College Avenue in the heart of our campus. Simply reserve online, let yourself in with your Zipcard and drive. Zipcars have hourly and daily rates. To see more information, or to register: BicyclingWhether you ride for pleasure, or just to and from campus, with a wealth of bike lanes around the city you will find Greensboro is a great place to ride. Once you register your bike with campus security, you can receive discounts at local retailers, initiations to bicycle friendly events, and a guaranteed "free ride home" from the HEAT system. http://parking.uncg.edu/bike |
