Dr. Kevin Lowe on Committee for Award-Nominated Paper

Dr. Kevin Lowe served as the external expert on a committee for Amanda Bullough, a doctoral candidate at Florida International University, whose paper was recently awarded Best Paper 2009 for increased gender awareness in international business research by the Institute of International Business (IIB) and the Women of the Academy of International Business (WAIB).

The award, which is endowed by the Institute of International Business at the Stockholm School of Economics, was announced at the Academy of International Business Annual Meeting in San Diego at the end of June. The paper, titled Institutional Factors Affecting Women’s Participation in Business Leadership around the Globe, was also "highly commended" for being one of three finalists for the First Annual Emerging Scholar Award in Women’s Entrepreneurship presented by WAIB and the International Journal of Gender and Entrepreneurship.

Dr. Lowe, who earned his doctorate from Florida International University, is the Department Head for Business Administration at the Bryan School and teaches organizational behavior and human resource management for the Bryan MBA.
