Bryan MBA Signs Exchange Agreement with EBS Paris

Starting next fall semester, MBA students at the Bryan School will have the option of studying abroad for a semester at the European Business School Paris (EBS Paris).

EBS Paris is part of EBS International, a multinational business school with a network of schools located in Madrid, Milan, Paris, Dublin, London, Munich, Dortmund, Kaliningrad, Riga, and New York. EBS International was founded in 1967 and currently has a total enrollment of approximately 10,000 students. In addition to its ten schools, EBS has nearly thirty partner schools throughout the world.

Dr. Catherine Holderness, administrative director of the Bryan MBA program, anticipates that the exchange will start out small (2-3 students) and then expand if the student interest is there. While the exchange does not include a formal agreement to exchange faculty, UNCG’s Business Professor, Nir Kshetri, taught a course at EBS Paris during the fall semester. “In addition to its location in Paris, the cultural capital of the world, EBS Paris has a mixture of students from diverse cultures and backgrounds and students have the opportunity to interact with dedicated professors,” said Dr. Kshetri.

UNCG students would need to complete most of their basic level MBA courses in order to be eligible to participate in the exchange. In Paris, Bryan MBA students would enroll in master’s level business courses with other graduate students from around the world. Courses on European business law, European business, finance, marketing, international political economy, business ethics, logistics and production management will be offered in English, but visiting students who are fluent in French will have the option of enrolling in courses that are taught in French.

The new exchange with EBS Paris expands the Bryan School’s programs in France. The Bryan School has an existing exchange program with University Jean Moulin in Lyon, France and the Bryan School’s Center for Global Business Education and Research runs a one-week academic trip for credit to Paris for undergraduate and graduate students during the fall and spring semesters.
