On the evening of Saturday, April 22nd, over 200 Bryan MBA and MSITM alumni, students, and their families came out to First Horizon Park for an evening of picnicking, baseball, and fireworks. Numerous members of the Bryan School’s faculty and administration were on hand as well. Hosted by the Bryan School’s Office of Graduate Career Services, the event was an opportunity for alumni to reconnect with former classmates and professors as well as an opportunity for them to meet current students. As a souvenir of the outing, t-shirts, designed by Bryan MBA student, Craig Stokes, were distributed to all attendees.
“The whole family really enjoyed it and I got to catch up with some of my classmates. Everything was so well organized and the t-shirts were a nice touch,” said Paula Stop, a 2000 graduate of the MBA program. “We had a great time and look forward to next year,” said another cheerful alumnus.
This was the first time the Bryan School hosted the event at the new ballpark, but as a result of the enthusiastic response from alumni, plans to make this an annual event are being discussed. “In selecting the venue, we wanted a fun, relaxing atmosphere where alumni could catch up with old friends and meet some of our current students,” said Darlene Broadhurst, Assistant Director of Graduate Career Services, “and the alumni really responded well. We gave out all of the tickets we purchased for the game and everyone seemed to have a great time! We look forward to doing this again.”
