The week before starting the 2006-2007 academic year, the Bryan School’s
Center for Global Business Education and Research hosted a reception for incoming
international students coming to UNCG from all of the world to study business at
the Bryan School of Business and Economics. Over seventy students,
twenty-five of whom are pursuing their MBA, attended the event.
“The UNC system is the premier state system for higher education in the
United States and UNCG is North Carolina’s leading host institution for
international students,” said Jim Weeks, Dean of the Bryan School, in his
welcome address to the entering students.
Six of the new MBA students come to the UNCG from Germany through the Bryan
School’s exchange programs with the University of Mannheim, the University
of Ulm and the University of Applied Sciences. Other countries
represented at the reception included France, Turkey, United Kingdom, India,
China, Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, Sweden, Peru, Russia, Finland, Canada, Singapore,
Denmark, Australia, Japan, and Mexico.
