Dr. Joy Bhadury is the Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Programs and a Professor of Information Systems and Operations Management at the Bryan School of Business and Economics, University of North Carolina - Greensboro. Prior to that, he was he was Chair of the Department of Management and Finance in the College of Business and Economics at California State University – East Bay and also served as the Director of the Engineering Program at that institution. After completing Ph.D. in Management Science from University of Texas at Dallas in 1991, he has subsequently worked at the following institutions. Faculty of Administration at University of New Brunswick, Canada (1991-1997), Dept of Industrial Engineering at SUNY-Buffalo (1997-98, on sabbatical leave), California State University – East Bay (1998-2007).
Dr. Bhadury’s professional specialization is broadly in Operations, Logistics and Supply Chain Management and Operations Research applications. He has taught extensively at undergraduate and graduate levels in USA and Canada, and has also taught Executive MBA courses in USA, Singapore, Hong Kong and Austria. His research has been published in such outlets as Journal of Supply Chain Management, International Journal of Production Research, European Journal of Operational Research, INFORMS Journal of Computing, Computers and Operations Research, Journal of Regional Science, Social Choice and Welfare, Location Science, OR Spektrum and other journals in management science and production and operations management. In addition, he has provided his professional services to over fifteen public and private organizations such as SAP-AG, FedEx and Buffalo Police Department.
