I am currently the Assistant to the Dean at the Bryan School of Business. My focus recently is on special projects and international programs for the School. Prior to that, I managed the Graduate Programs Office here in the Bryan School, and before that I taught MBA and undergraduate courses in strategy, marketing, and leadership here. I continue to teach once a year at the University of Applied Sciences Ludwigshafen in Germany. I came to UNCG from Salem College, where I was Chairman of the Department of Business Administration and Economics. I did my MBA at the University of Nevada, Reno, and my doctorate at UNCG where my studies focused on strategy, leadership, and cross-cultural relations. I've consulted for several firms in the areas of crisis management planning, strategic planning, and marketing. Clients have included Northwest Airlines, Colonial Pipelines, and the Sacramento Metropolitan Utility District among others. I have presented papers at the International meeting of the American Association for Psychological Type, the American Speech Communication Association, and the National Democratic Management Conference, to name a few, and made presentations at professional association meetings. One that was especially meaningful for me was the opportunity to present a colloquium on Leadership as a Strategic Mindset at the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, North Carolina. I am originally from Northern California and my experiences abroad have included an around-the-world trek, living in East Africa and Australia, and teaching in Germany. |
