Stata
Stata is used in several classes. It is available on campus lab computers, however you
are strongly encouraged to purchase a personal copy for your laptop/desktop computer.
It is suggested that you purchase the Stata/IC version with perpetual license.

SAS
SAS is used primarily in ECO 725 but may be used (and useful) in other classes. It is available on campus lab computers. You may also obtain it by following the instructions on this page: https://web.uncg.edu/research-access/secure/sas/sas.asp.
Matlab
Matlab is used primarily in ECO 644, ECO 722, and ECO 723. It is available on campus lab computers. To order the student version of matlab, go to www.mathworks.com and click on store in the upper right corner of the page. You should see a link for student purchases so follow that link.
