Princeton Review Recognizes UNCG Bryan School of Business and Economics for Outstanding Programs and Faculty

GREENSBORO, NC – The Bryan School of Business and Economics at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro has been named as an outstanding business school, according the Princeton Review.

The New York-based education services company featured the Bryan School in the just-published 2009 edition of its “Best 296 Business Schools.”

“Best 296 Business Schools” has two-page profiles of the schools with write-ups on their academics, student life and admissions, plus ratings for their academics, selectivity and career placement services.

In its profile of the Bryan School, the Princeton Review editors describe the school as providing an MBA program at “a very good price” taught by “a tremendous faculty.”

The Princeton Review also singled out the Bryan School as being “very proactive in providing opportunities to network with local employers” such as the Moses Cone Health System, Tyco Electronics and Volvo Parts North America.

In a “Survey Says…” sidebar, the Princeton Review lists topics that the Bryan School students it surveyed for the book were most in agreement about. The list includes positive responses for solid preparation in “doing business in the global economy,” “quantitative skills” and “teamwork.”

Additionally, on a scale of 60-99, the Bryan School received an academic experience rating of 88, an admissions selectivity rating of 91, and a career rating of 83.

The Bryan School was also cited for its week-long study-abroad programs in Brazil and Germany along with the summer “Base Camp” for incoming students to the full-time, day MBA program.

The Princeton Review does not rank school in the book on a single hierarchical list or name one school best overall. For more information about the rankings visit www.PrincetonReview.com.

The Bryan School is the largest of UNCG’s six professional schools with 450 graduate students and 2,200 undergraduates. It is accredited by AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business and is among the top 10 percent of business schools nationwide that have earned accreditation at the undergraduate and graduate levels in both business and accounting.
