Advising

As a Bryan School student, you are assigned a professional advisor in Bryan 301. You and your advisor will work each semester on academic advising but we encourage you to come in and talk to your advisor about academic goals and if you just need answers to questions please feel free to stop into Bryan 301.

Academic Advising for semester classes takes place in the preceding semester, typically in late-September (for spring and summer classes) and late-February (for summer and fall classes). Just before the start of the advising and early-registration period, the Office of Undergraduate Student Services will send out information about how to schedule your advising appointment for the upcoming semester. This information will be sent to your i-Spartan email account, so please make sure that you regularly check this account.

Make sure to meet with your advisor early during the advising period so that you can register during your scheduled window! Your registration window is based on the number of hours that you have earned to date. Therefore, you have earned the ability to register earlier than students who have completed fewer hours. Set your advising appointment early enough to ensure that you don't miss your registration window.

Advisors are also available year-round by appointment to assist students with course plans, goal-setting, and success strategies. Please call Undergraduate Student Services at (336) 334-5928 to schedule an individual appointment.
