Monetary Indicators

The Federal Reserve continues to stoke the economy with its policy of monetary stimulus.  The real monetary base swelled by 9.2% this month, indicating continuing monetary ease.  But the policy uncertainty index rose 13.0% during the month, indicating growing of concern among individuals and business about the future course of federal economic policy which has so retarded the growth of consumption and investment in this recovery.
