Woo to Speak at UNCG on Organizational Ethics Sept. 3


Dr. Carolyn WooGREENSBORO, NC – The challenges of building ethical cultures within organizations will be addressed by Dr. Carolyn Woo, the Gillen Dean and Siegfried Chair in Entrepreneurial Studies at the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame.

The lecture, titled “Building Ethical Cultures: Can It Be Done?” will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, in Room 160 of the Bryan Building at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

The lecture is free and open to the public. Parking is available in the Walker Avenue Parking Deck.

A renowned scholar, whose interests include strategic management, entrepreneurship, technological innovation and organizational change, Woo was named one of 40 Young Leaders of the Academe by the American Association for Higher Education.

Woo served on the board of AACSB International, the accreditation association for top business schools worldwide, and on the Board of Governors of Beta Gamma Sigma, the international honor society for accredited business schools.

Since 2001, Woo has been a member of the Committee of 100, an organization of Chinese-American leaders devoted to enhancing U.S.-China relations and the full participation of Chinese-Americans in American life.

Woo’s visit to UNCG is co-sponsored by the Notre Dame Club of Central North Carolina and is part of the Hesburgh Lecture Series at the University of Notre Dame.
