Bern Reinhardt

Bern Reinhardt was born in Crailsheim, Germany and moved to the United States in 1997 after studying English and Biology at the University of Heidelberg. He graduated from the MFA in Film and Video Production Program at UNCG in 1999.

He moved to Los Angeles in the beginning of 2000 and began shooting mostly sports documentaries for ESPN and Fox later that year. He joined the Cinematographers Guild to pursue jobs for Ryan Seacrest and Dr. Phil and along the way worked on non-union comedy programs such as “Da Ali G show” with Sacha Baron Cohen.

Since 2004 Bernd has been working as cinematographer for Jimmy Kimmel Live, where he shoots most of the comedy skits and pre-tapes such as the Matt Damon and Ben Affleck videos, Handsome Men’s Club, and Movie the Movie.
