Brett Ingram is the director of two documentary features, Monster Road (2004) and Rocaterrania (2009), and a dozen short documentaries and animated films.

His work has screened on Sundance Channel and regional PBS, and at hundreds of film festivals including the Los Angeles Film Festival, Full Frame Documentary Film Festival, Slamdance Film Festival, Vancouver International Film Festival, Buenos Aires International Film Festival, New Zealand International Film Festival and Annecy International Animated Film Festival.

Ingram has directed documentary programs for Animal Planet and National Geographic Channel, and has published articles on animation, visual art, and media education.

His primary teaching interests include narrative and documentary filmmaking, cinematography, sound design, nonfiction transmedia production, and fringe cinema studies.

Ingram was named a Guggenheim Fellow in 2007 and a North Carolina Arts Council Fellow in 1996 and 2002. He is currently working on a book about the life and work of visionary illustrator Renaldo Kuhler.
