May 15th, 2013 - One of GK-12 Fellow, Chris Hylton's, students was featured on Greensboro, NC local news as a local celebrity of sorts. Christian Warren is a bowling prodigy and also a credit to Montlieu's Academy of Technology. Christian uses an iPad he received to help his autistic sister communicate. April 24th, 2013 - GK-12 Teacher, Kathy Melious', students from Andrews High School presented their research at the American Association of Physics Teachers Joint Meeting in December of 2012. This research, Using a Spark Timer to Measure Impulse of Model Rockets, has been selected for the Summer National Meeting of the American Association of Physics Teachers in Portland, Oregon. The students will also have the honor of giving a panel session discussion about their research!
