UNCG Biology Department Represented at 2011 NCAS Meeting
Congratulations to the UNCG Biology students who represented the department at the North Carolina Academy of Science meeting held at Elon University on Friday and Saturday, March 25-26th. The UNCG Biology department was represented by both graduate and undergraduate students who gave poster and oral presentations.

Graduate student McKenzie Smith was awarded a Robert R. Bryden Research Award from the NC Academy of Science for her thesis work: Methanogens and methane oxidizing bacteria in pristine, urban impaired and urban restored streams. Congratulations McKenzie!
