Rho Lambda Nominations

Nominations are currently being accepted for Rho Lambda, the national leadership recognition society for Panhellenic sorority women. The purpose of Rho Lambda is to honor those women within the sorority community who have exhibited the highest qualities of leadership and service to their Greek community and their sorority. They are women who have furthered the ideals and principles of the Greek community throughout their years of sorority affiliation. Founded in 1962, Rho Lambda has over 218 chapters nation-wide.

To be considered for membership, nominees must meet a set of criteria:

  1. Women who in the opinion of the membership of Rho Lambda have displayed outstanding leadership, ability, and loyalty throughout their years of sorority affiliation shall be eligible for membership.
  2. Nominations for membership may be submitted to the current members of Rho Lambda, by the president, and the local advisors of each national sorority.
  3. An overall grade point average of a 2.50 (on a 4.0 scale) is required for membership.
  4. Only active members in their junior or senior year are eligible. They must have been initiated, active members of their sorority for at least two full academic terms or semesters.
  5. A transfer student will be eligible for membership after one term or semester on the university or college campus.
