Too often, good leaders and good chapters are not able to succeed because they are too busy cleaning up after the ones that don't get it. Fixing their problems or fighting their negative image? Imagine how much more we could accomplish if they were part of the solution instead of part of the problem.
David will say what you wish you could. Let him confront them in his funny, interactive and moving style.
His message will inspire those that want to care about the core values of Fraternity and Sorority Life—friendship, service, leadership and scholarship. He will challenge your members to embrace the best and get rid of the rest. It will touch on topics that range across all major issues facing today's members.
UNCG Fraternities and sororities will host their annual Greek Treats event. The purpose is to provide a safe and fun Halloween environment for community children. Each Greek organization at UNCG will have a trick-or-treat game/activity set up for participants. There is no cost to participate but families are encouraged to bring one can of food per child. Canned goods will be donated to the Greensboro Urban Ministry. Costumes are encouraged!
Campus comes aglow with the annual lighting of luminaries upon the dusk of every December Reading Day. "Las luminaries" is the Spanish phrase for "little lights". The tradition of luminaries at UNCG dates back to 1969. Each member of the Greek community contributes to this project. The Greek community spends two days preparing 7,000 bags, distributes the bags among campus walkways, lights the candles at dusk, and cleans up the bags at the end of the night. Fraternities and sororities celebrate the holidays by making and displaying luminaries on Reading Day for the entire campus community to enjoy.
Greek Week is a time for all UNCG fraternities and sororities to come together as a community and participate as teams in activities dedicated to academics, community service, and friendly competition.
