Mission Statement
The Spartans Leading Spartans Peer Leadership Consultant Program will engage and develop UNCG students cultivating leadership and citizenship through peer-to-peer consultation, facilitation and programming.
Vision Statement
The Spartans Leading Spartans Peer Leadership Consultant Program will become internationally known as the most trusted and sought after leadership resource for student organization empowerment, motivation, stability and prosperity.
How Will We Achieve This Vision?
"internationally known"
- Spartans Leading Spartans will develop and enhance high quality programs through annual assessment, research and improvement beginning in April through October.
- Spartans Leading Spartans will present and share program progress at international collegiate conferences such as the International Leadership Association, National Association of Campus Activities, and Association of College Unions International.
"most trusted"
- Spartans Leading Spartans will spend at least two (2) office office-hours per week during the academic year honing their chosen area of expertise through online and library research, developing and practicing their presentations, meeting with their program partner outside of weekly office meetings, visiting other schools programs, utilizing campus resources and personal enrichment exercises.
"sought after"
- Spartans Leading Spartans will make their services know through student organization mailings, announcement at governance and major student organization meetings, campus fliers, hosting a fall reception, participation in campus activities such as Fall Kickoff, Triad Leadership Academy, Fall Fest, and Days of Caring.
- Spartans Leading Spartans will develop meaningful relationships with other student leaders through weekly interaction and program promotion at lunch, dinner, campus recreation center or other campus venues.

- Spartans Leading Spartans will increase participants' knowledge of the organizations to which they belong.
- Spartans Leading Spartans will assess help organization members assess their personal and organizational strengths, opportunities and needs.

- Spartans Leading Spartans will help organization members rediscover a sense of belonging to the organization through initial program icebreakers and discussion questions.
- Spartans Leading Spartans will encourage participation in goal development for his or her respected topic or program.
- Spartans Leading Spartans will carefully and consistently explain the purpose of their consultation and program activities.
- Spartans Leading Spartans will help organization members create expectations of themselves and others with respect to program goals and intended outcomes (e.g., Who will do what?)
- Spartans Leading Spartans will provide organization leaders with tools and resources to reinforce and reward continual achievement.

- Spartans Leading Spartans will assist student organizations with the development of their constitutions, bylaws and/or operating procedures.
- Spartans Leading Spartans will offer and provide consulting services in officer transition and term assessment.
- Spartans Leading Spartans will offer and provide "refreshers" through follow-up communication one month after date of their consultation or program.
- Spartans Leading Spartans will provide handouts and other resources for implementation, follow-up and review at the end of each program.
Spartans Leading Spartans will help student organization members create a support system of internal and external resources inclusive of faculty, staff and Spartans Leading Spartans to meet their goals and objectives.
