Student Group Web Space

Free web space is available to affiliated student groups. The web space available is in the form of a Google Site. Sites are created by the Office of Campus Activities & Programs (CAP) and are given a name appropriate for the student organization.

Only affiliated student groups will be listed with this designation on the UNCG Google Site Directory. Once a student organization is no longer affiliated with the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, their Google Site will be removed and they will have to re-apply for space.

Web Space Requirements

The Office of Campus Activities & Programs will check student organization's Google Sites once a semester to ensure that they contain current student organization content. At a minimum, each Google Site must contain:

  • The Student Organization's Mission and Purpose or Constitution
  • The Name, Title and Contact information of the Student Group's Officers
  • All events and/or programs should reflect the current sememster.
  • Weekly meeting time and location

Failure to keep the group's Google Site updated will result in the following:

First Semester
A warning letter will be sent via e-mail and campus mail to the head officer. The website must be updated by the last day of classes that semester.
Second Semester
A warning letter will be sent via e-mail and campus mail to the head officer. The website must be updated within two (2) weeks of the e-mail date. Failure to update the website will result in the web space being taken away.

If a student group loses its Google Site, it must wait one semester to re-apply. Web space will be returned at the discretion of the CAP Assistant Director for Student Organization Development in conjunction with the CAP Assistant Director for Communications and Student Affairs Technology Coordinator.
