How can I make better grades?

grades

Remember the old phrase “Work smarter, not harder.”? Well, if you want to make better grades, you’ll want to do both! The faculty here at UNCG expect you to take responsibility for your own education, including: reading all policies and due dates; attending all classes; actively participating in class; committing yourself to adequate study time (a good rule of thumb is two hours of study for every hour in class); seeking your instructor’s help when necessary; and using campus resources when they can help. What campus resources? Glad you asked!

Academic Skills Assessment (http://success.uncg.edu/lac/skills/)
What are your strengths? What are your challenges? How do you learn best? How can you improve your learning strategies?

Tutoring (http://success.uncg.edu/lac/tutoring/)

Supplemental Instruction (http://success.uncg.edu/sip/)
The Supplemental Instruction Program, or SIP, is a discussion or review forum designed to help you achieve success in a course that has been designated as historically difficult.

Speaking Center (http://speakingcenter.uncg.edu/)

Math Help Center (http://www.uncg.edu/mat/helpcenter/)
